STAR AMERICA PROJECT DIGITAL CROSSROADS DATA CENTER RECOGNIZED AS ONE OF THE TOP 10 ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS IN INDIANA IN 2018

(New York) – Digital Crossroads Data Center was recognized as one of the Top 10 Economic Development Projects in the state of Indiana for 2018 by Area Development Magazine. The announcement was made as it unveiled its annual Gold and Silver Shovel Awards for Economic Development projects across the country.
“We greatly appreciate the opportunity to make an investment in the City of Hammond and State of Indiana that will create jobs and support economic development,” said Star America’s President Christophe Petit. “We believe that this is only the beginning and look forward to hopefully growing the project and the positive impact it will have on the community.”
According to its website, founded in 1965, Area Development magazine is considered the leading executive magazine covering corporate site selection and relocation.
Digital Crossroads at Lake Michigan, is a mission critical data center complex currently under construction and is located on the site of the former State Line Generating Facility, situated on the Illinois / Indiana border, 12 miles from downtown Chicago along Hammond’s Lake Michigan shoreline. The asset is set to be a high-capacity, energy efficient, state-of-the-art data center campus.
