Francis “Russ” L. Van Scoy, CPA, CFA, CAIA, was promoted to Chief Financial Officer of Tikehau Star Infra Partners, LLC (“Star”) in March 2021. He joined Star as Chief Compliance Officer and Controller in February 2020. Although he remains a compliance officer, he no longer serves as Chief Compliance Officer. Effective March 31, 2021, Star is now filing its ADV as a relying advisor under the Tikehau Capital North America (“TCNA”) umbrella filing, and Amin Khorsanee is the Chief Compliance Officer for both TCNA and Star. For regulatory reasons, there can only be one Chief Compliance Officer. During the next year, more of the compliance function will be transitioned to Mr. Khorsannee.
Prior to joining the Investment Manager, Mr. Van Scoy was the Chief Financial and Compliance Officer at Trident Investment Management, LLC, where he was responsible for the financial operations, reporting, compliance and assisted with investor relations. He also managed its human resource department and all third-party arrangements. Previously, Mr. Van Scoy was the Controller and Director of Operations at Charter Bridge Capital Management, L.P., the Controller at Agamas Capital Management, L.P. and a Manager at Citco Fund Services, Inc. Mr. Van Scoy began his career in the alternative investment industry as an auditor at RSM.
Mr. Van Scoy earned a BS in Accounting from Binghamton University and he is a Certified Public Accountant and holds the CFA and CAIA charters.
